Weigh in #3

Going into the weekend I knew I was up for approximately a 3lb loss this week. So, I had to be on my best behavior as I knew I would be eating out a lot because my friend, Stephen, was coming to visit Nashville.

I am proud to say that I made the right choices and stuck (halfway) to my guns regarding alcohol. I refused to have more than a couple beers each day as I knew the caloric intake just wasn't worth it. Of course this made me a party pooper (sorry Stephen), but it also was worth it in the end - so I don't regret my choice.

If you remember my June Challenge, I did break it (I actually had a diet coke last Saturday too). Although I know I gave in, maybe I don't regret breaking the challenge as much as I should because I feel like I sustained the challenge for long enough (approx 3 weeks) to realize I can go without drinking a diet coke every day. And I can easily not feel like I have to drink 12 beers when I go out. This journey is about figuring out what works for me and learning to enjoy things in moderation. It all goes back to the motto, "anything in moderation."

All that being said, here are the weigh in stats:

Previous weight 326.2
Today's weight 323.4

Total lost this week 2.8
Total lost so far 6.0

I'd like to point out that this puts me about 1/5 of the way to my 30 pound goal for the year. Who thinks I can do this way before my end of year deadline? I do!

This is my last week of work before vacation. Let's hope I can stay on track during vaycay!

If I recall correctly, you had more than two beers per day.

Of course you'll reach your goal before the end of the year, but I will win the 4 week weight loss challenge.

You should definitely be able to lose 30lbs by the end of the year. Try the livestrong calorie tracker I was telling you about!
